The Farmers’ Table

The California Council for the Humanities has awarded the Asian Culinary Forum a generous grant to begin work on an exicting, new project. The Farmers’ Table: Asian Americans and Agriculture in the Golden State is a series of events and exhibits that will highlight the rich history and vibrant food of immigrant farmers in California.

Multimedia artist Robynn Takayama and photographer Myleen Hollero have already begun recording rich sounds and images as they gather the stories of California farmers. Most recently, they visited Brookside Farm in Brentwood and Koda Farms in the San Joachin Valley. Check back soon to see and hear highlights from their farm visits.
